BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (Sept. 25, 2012)—The new Lincolnton, N.C., Tractor Supply Company store will hold its grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 29, with specially priced merchandise Sept. 27 – 30, according to Store Manager Elizabeth Wright. The store officially opened for business Sept. 15.
The Lincolnton location is Tractor Supply Company’s 53rd store in North Carolina and employs 12 team members. The facility has 26,616 square feet, including sales floor and support service space.
Tractor Supply Company is the largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain in the United States and has been operating in North Carolina since 1994.
“Lincolnton is a great location for Tractor Supply Company because it’s a rural area with numerous horse and animal owners and farmers that our products cater to,” said Wright. “Since returning to the area, I’ve seen a lot of growth. There are good people in the community, and we’re here to help. There is something here for everyone, and our friendly, knowledgeable team is here to provide the legendary Tractor Supply customer service.”
Wright joined Tractor Supply in 2010 as an assistant store manager at the Rock Hill, S.C., location. Six months later, she was given the opportunity to manage the Siler City Tractor Supply store before becoming store manager of the Lincolnton location. Prior to joining Tractor Supply, she spent seven years at Wal-Mart. Wright grew up on a dairy farm in Bessemer City and enjoys spending time with her son.
As store manager, Wright oversees all store operations, including receiving, inventory control and merchandising, as well as customer and team member relations.
To celebrate the grand opening of the store, shoppers will receive 10 percent off their first purchase, up to $100, from Sept. 27 — 30, and can enter to win prizes including store gift cards, pet feed, clothing, power tools, a lawn tractor and a chain saw. Free Tractor Supply Company baseball-style hats will also be given away while supplies last.
On Saturday, the grand opening event will feature a petting zoo, face painting, a bounce house, slide, food and homemade ice cream for guests. The event will feature corn hole, the Lincoln County 4-H group, antique tractors, the local bee club with a hive display, information regarding organic food, a booth with information on care packages for troops and 107.9 The Link with a live radio remote. There will also be a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 27, with the local Chamber of Commerce.
Regular operating hours for the store, located in the former Wal-Mart space at 401 North Generals Blvd., are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
