Like all Greek organizations, Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women is dependent on the continued involvement of its members and alumnae to sustain its programs. The national officers of Pi Beta Phi came to DVL ready to enhance and modify the Fraternity’s offerings to collegiate and alumnae members and to upgrade its website and redesign its logo and communications vehicles. DVL recommended a phased-in implementation strategy. In year one, DVL updated the website; created new web programs and implemented programming changes. DVL also redesigned all graphic materials, including the logo, letterhead, business cards and brochures. DVL shot and produced a video for new collegiate members on the benefits of joining the Fraternity and developed the speeches to introduce the new programs and look to collegians and alumnae at the organization’s national convention.
In year two, DVL and Pi Phi implemented additional program enhancements, including regional networking opportunities and affiliation with a national literacy organization. DVL also designed materials to be used in expansion efforts as Pi Phi colonizes new chapters.
results: Pi Beta Phi’s three-year plan is complete. The organization has worked hard to stay on course and continues to work with DVL on a variety of projects. Pi Beta Phi reports success in its efforts to sustain membership and funding support.
