It’s not every day that you see a governor, a congressman and a mayor giving speeches in the same building—especially an office building. But it’s also not every day that a legend is memorialized.
Eddie Jones left a legacy that seems almost mythical. But most of the stories you hear about him are true. So when DVL dedicated a library that would honor his name and many of his fond memories, there was no shortage of people willing to wake up a little early to come and pay respects to an old-school Nashville hero and a 10-year veteran of DVL.
The Eddie Jones Library is a lot like its namesake: full of memories and, hopefully with some inspiration from Eddie, also full of good ideas. For the ribbon cutting, politicos, friends and colleagues gathered at DVL to remember Eddie and his impact on the city. It was a gathering that Eddie would have gladly attended: hot coffee, sausage biscuits and lively conversation about the city he loved.
